1. Introduction
Welcome to HireMyMotorhome. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our platform and services. By accessing or using HireMyMotorhome, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the HireMyMotorhome website and mobile applications.
- "Host" refers to users who list their motorhomes for hire on the Platform.
- "Renter" refers to users who book motorhomes through the Platform.
- "Vehicle" refers to motorhomes, campervans, or RVs listed on the Platform.
3. Eligibility
To use our Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a valid driver's license
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Account Registration
When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and update your information as necessary
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
5. Booking and Rental
5.1 Booking Process
All bookings are subject to Host approval. Payment is processed upon booking confirmation. Cancellation policies vary by Host and are displayed before booking.
5.2 Rental Agreement
Each rental is subject to a separate rental agreement between Host and Renter. HireMyMotorhome is not party to this agreement but provides the platform for facilitating transactions.
5.3 Vehicle Condition
Renters must inspect the Vehicle before departure and report any damage or issues immediately. Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as received, normal wear and tear excepted.
6. Payments and Fees
All payments are processed through our secure payment system. Renters pay the rental price plus applicable service fees. Hosts receive payment after deducting our service fee. All fees are displayed before booking confirmation.
Prices are in GBP unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for cleaning or damage.
8. Host Responsibilities
Hosts agree to the following key responsibilities:
Legal Compliance
Hosts must adhere to all relevant local, national, and industry-specific legislation and advertising codes, including but not limited to DVLA requirements.
Honesty and Clarity
All advertisements and listings must be 100% honest, transparent, and not misleading in any way.
Accuracy of Details
Hosts must provide correct and consistent information about the vehicle's specifications, including make, model, year, features, and condition.
General Requirements
- Provide accurate and complete Vehicle listings
- Ensure Vehicles meet all safety and legal requirements
- Maintain Vehicles in good working condition
- Provide clear pickup and return instructions
- Respond to booking requests and messages promptly
- Honor confirmed bookings unless force majeure applies
9. Platform Policies
The following policies apply to all transactions on the HireMyMotorhome platform:
- No Deposits: HireMyMotorhome does not collect or hold security deposits. Any deposit arrangements are made directly between Host and Renter outside of the platform.
- Vehicle Issues: Any issues with the vehicle, including mechanical problems, damage, or discrepancies from the listing, must be addressed directly with the Host. HireMyMotorhome is not responsible for resolving vehicle-related disputes.
- Booking Acceptance: Hosts reserve the right to reject or accept booking requests at their discretion. Renters may also cancel booking requests before Host acceptance without penalty.
10. Renter Responsibilities
Renters agree to:
- Use the Vehicle only for lawful purposes
- Operate the Vehicle safely and in accordance with all laws
- Not sublease or allow unauthorized drivers to operate the Vehicle
- Report any accidents or damage immediately
- Return the Vehicle on time and in the agreed condition
- Pay for any damage, fines, or fees incurred during the rental period
11. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policies are set by individual Hosts and displayed before booking. Refunds are processed according to the applicable cancellation policy. HireMyMotorhome service fees may be non-refundable.
In case of cancellation by the Host, Renters receive a full refund including all fees.
12. Prohibited Uses
Users may not:
- Use the Platform for fraudulent or illegal activities
- Circumvent or manipulate our fee structure or policies
- Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
- Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
- Harvest data or use automated systems without permission
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
13. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by HireMyMotorhome or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.
14. Limitation of Liability
HireMyMotorhome acts as an intermediary platform. We are not responsible for the actions or omissions of Hosts or Renters. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any damages arising from use of the Platform or rental transactions.
15. Dispute Resolution
We encourage users to resolve disputes directly. If resolution is not possible, disputes shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and users agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
